Emotionally charged ramblings from a Student of Life.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Not the best activity just before sitting in class all day.

Sunday we spent a nice leisurely morning/early afternoon horseback riding through the mountain rainforests. It was beautiful, only drizzled for a few minutes, and was a fairly easy ride. Unfortunately, we didn't see any monkeys or wildlife; just a few random cows and horses along the trail. The horses stayed in a nice single file for the first 15 minutes or so; then egos got in the way and this horse started kicking that one or that horse started biting this one...the next thing you know people are passing on the left or walking in clumps. Very organized. They also seemed to know to walk here, trot there, and gallop at the end. Although mine seemed to prefer trot to gallop, which is not the most comfortable riding. Trust me.

Kristin rode momma, and baby stayed a close as possible.

Eve, Erica, Melinda, Kristin, and Kelly. The horses started out in a nice line...
Steve, Kathy (Eve's mom), and a few straglers.

Random cow.
This is the "hill" we rode up.

This one came out a little blurry, I'll try to get a better copy.

Fantastic tree, I think it was mangoes?

Our horses decided to stop at this watering hole for a bite to eat.

As you come out of the forest and over the hill, you see some fabulous views!
View of the school and dorms coming back from the rainforest.

After the ride, I came back and crashed for a few hours. That riding stuff is exhausting!! Sunday night was pretty quiet, everyone recovering from the week and preparing for classes.
