Exploding Tires

Did you know that your tire can just explode randomly? While you’re parked?

Perhaps the tire was a bit bald. Perhaps it ran over a somewhat sharp rock while I was parking. The point is, it was not flat on my way TO school, it was not flat when I was parking, and yet 8 hours later I had a completely shredded tire.

And with my recent string of luck (meaning none), my spare was flat. Thankfully I have a nice support team here on The Rock. Thanks to Chris and Chris for their air pump, tools, and muscles. Once the spare was on, I ran by the tire place to have the rim hammered down a bit to solve the leaking problem. And after an hour and a half of dealing with what can only be called another Classic Island Event, I finally made it home to study.

So far it is holding up just fine. Let’s all cross our fingers (but don’t hold your breath…I wouldn’t want to be responsible for your Respiratory Acidosis).
